In the evaluation of cardiovascular diseases, I adopt a comprehensive cardiology approach that considers not only diagnostic test results, but also the patient’s symptoms, risk factors, and clinical findings as a whole. At my clinic in Kadıköy / Kozyatağı, I aim to provide an assessment process that allocates sufficient time to each patient, avoids unnecessary testing, and proceeds based on appropriate clinical indications.
In cardiology practice, to provide a model of outpatient care that is not test-centered, but guided by clinical judgment and physician experience—where sufficient time is allocated to each patient and unnecessary procedures are avoided.
Kadıköy / Kozyatağı’ndaki muayenehanemde; her hastayı kendi klinik durumu, risk faktörleri ve yaşam koşulları içinde değerlendirerek, EKG, EKO ve gerekli ileri tetkikleri bütüncül bir bakış açısıyla planlamak. Amacım; doğru hastaya doğru tetkiki uygulayarak, güvenli, anlaşılır ve sürdürülebilir bir kardiyolojik takip sağlamaktır.
I was born in 1968 in Ordu. After completing my primary and secondary education in Ordu and graduating from Kabataş Boys’ High School in Istanbul, I received my medical degree from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1985. Between 1991 and 1996, I completed my cardiology residency at the Istanbul University Institute of Cardiology and became a Cardiology Specialist. Until 2000, I worked at VKV American Hospital in Istanbul; until 2010, at Istanbul Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital; until 2020, at Istanbul Private Kozyatağı Central Hospital; and subsequently at Altunizade Private Academic Hospital as a Cardiology Specialist. Since 2020, I have been providing services at my private clinic in Kozyatağı, Kadıköy, Istanbul. Within Clinical Cardiology, my primary areas of focus include hypertension, hypercholesterolemia and other lipid disorders, diabetes, coronary artery disease, heart failure, rhythm disorders, and arrhythmias. I also have extensive experience in Coronary CT Angiography (Virtual Angiography). In the field of interventional cardiology, my work primarily involves coronary angiography, drug-coated balloon procedures, and stent implantation. I am fluent in English and am a member of the Turkish Medical Association and the Turkish Society of Cardiology, including various affiliated working groups.
Accurate evaluation of heart health is not achieved by relying solely on a single test result, but through clinical judgment and experience. For this reason, my clinical practice is built upon three fundamental principles.
Rather than applying the same diagnostic tests to every patient, the necessary evaluations are planned based on a comprehensive assessment of symptoms, risk factors, ECG, and echocardiographic findings. This approach helps prevent unnecessary testing and loss of time.
ECG, echocardiography, virtual angiography, and other imaging methods are not assessed in isolation, but interpreted together with the overall clinical picture. The goal is not merely to provide a report, but to accurately interpret the patient’s cardiovascular health.
Without fragmentation between consultation, diagnostic testing, and when necessary, interventional procedures, every stage of the process is personally overseen by me. In this way, patients are followed by the same physician from evaluation through treatment.
At my clinic, cardiology consultations and evaluation services are provided for patients covered by Allianz, Bupa – Acıbadem Sağlık Grubu, Sencard, Anadolu Sağlık Merkezi, and Mapfre private health insurance plans.
Supplementary health insurance plans are not covered.
